The Department of Curriculum and Assessment shapes equity-centered, forward-thinking learning experiences that empower every Riverdale USD student from Pre-K through 12th grade. We bridge state standards with innovative instruction, ensuring our 3,400+ learners build critical thinking skills, foster curiosity, and achieve academic excellence.

Academic Supports

To ensure every student succeeds, free after-school tutoring is available 2–3 days per week at all school sites, alongside credentialed teacher support at the Riverdale Homework Help Center.

Assessment & Progress Monitoring

  • State Assessments: Standardized testing for grades 3–8 and 11 takes place annually in April 2027 to measure core proficiency and district progress.
  • District Benchmarks: Administered three times per year to track individual growth, guide classroom instruction, and identify targeted academic support.
  • Enrichment & GATE: Screening for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) occurs in 3rd and 5th grade, connecting students with advanced learning pathways.
